The Palacio de Congresos de Valencia, designed by architect Norman Foster, hosted the 2026 iteration of the renowned international conference jointly organized by ECPE and IEEE PELS and chaired by Prof. Pablo Zumel Vaquero and Prof. Cristina Fernández Herrero of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. With over 900 registered participants and a densely packed programme with over scientific 600 contributions to lectures and posters as well as keynotes, tutorials, special sessions and site visits, the week was filled with all aspects of state-of-the-art research across the whole field of energy conversion. The conference was accompanied by an exhibition featuring 25 exhibitors linking the scientific research presented to industrial practice and development and offering space for exchange and networking during the breaks and social events. The community will meet again at ECCE Europe 2027, which will take place from 30 August to 3 September 2027 at the Eurogress Aachen Conference Center in Aachen, Germany.
