This informational session is aimed at Early Career Researchers, students, and anyone new to academia and engineering. Two Managing Editors from the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s journals programme will cover:

• How to choose the right journal for your research.
• Open Access, funding, and the Article Publication Charge.
• Tips on turning your research into a paper: including choosing a title, writing an abstract, constructing the paper, expanding a conference submission into an academic paper, authorship.
• AI and journal publishing.
• What happens next? When and how to follow up.
• Q&A
