CHIPS of Europe Toolkits Now Available in Eight Languages

Educational toolkits and project results are now freely accessible on the CHIPS of Europe website, in English, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, French, German, Norwegian and Swedish.

Semiconductors power everything from electric vehicles to renewable energy systems to the digital infrastructure we rely on every day. Europe’s ambition to strengthen its position in this field depends on one thing above all: people. Skilled engineers, technicians and researchers are needed in every country, and they need to be inspired early.

That is why we are pleased to announce that the CHIPS of Europe toolkits and key project results are now published on our website in eight languages: English, Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, French, German, Norwegian and Swedish.

The materials include the educational toolkit activity sheets, the portable experiment kit descriptions and the LabKit presentations. They also include the toolkit for events at secondary schools, with examples and blueprints, and the chapter on careers and future skills. Together they give teachers, trainers, universities and outreach teams practical, ready-to-use resources for introducing young people to semiconductor technology.

Educational material has the greatest effect when it is available in the language that students and teachers use in the classroom. By providing the toolkits in eight languages, we lower the barrier to use them and make it easier for schools and institutions to adopt the resources.

As a full partner in the CHIPS of Europe project, co-funded by the EU, the European Center for Power Electronics, is responsible for communication and dissemination.
