IWATSU Test Instruments-Europe GmbH

IWATSU Test Instruments Europe combines the complementary Test & Measurement technologies of PMK, IWATSU and newly Cleverscope to provide complete measurement solutions for the most current measurement requirements across a wide range of demanding applications. The portfolio ranges from high-performance probing and curve tracers to optically isolated measurement systems and fully isolated oscilloscopes, covering low to high voltage and frequency as well as manual and automated testing. A key focus is advanced power electronics and the static and dynamic characterization of Si, SiC and GaN semiconductors, including switching analysis, on-voltage and gate-charge measurements. University of Bremen - IALB - HiPE-LAB

The IALB of the University of Bremen focuses on the reliability of power semiconductors devices and other power electronic components. To test modern devices under conditions beyond existing standards, custom-made test benches and high-precision measurement solutions have been developed.

A key innovation of the IALB is the M-Shunt — a low-inductance current sensor designed to capture fast-switching behaviour in SiC and GaN circuits with high fidelity. The latest shunt versions and application examples will be shown.

In parallel, the IALB continues its reliability testing of components, power stacks, and complete converters under combined climatic and electrical stress in the High Power Electronics-Laboratory (HiPE-LAB).

Current results demonstrate how improved measurement and testing contribute to a safer and more stable energy transition.
